Here are some of the technical services we offer - no matter where you purchased your computer we can help.  Our friendly technicians are ready to help you with your problem  no matter how big or small. We Repair PC Clones & All Major Brands.

Our Technicians offer unmatched quality and service. Custom computer configurations and upgrades are available. Delivery & Installation of your new system is available, fast and easy, direct to your home or business. Networking services also available. On-site repairs and configurations at your home or business. 

All services are based on work units
The cost of each unit is $50.00
A “Unit” is not to be confused with a “Clock Hour” or any other time value. A “Unit” is a measurement of value required to accomplish a certain task of the repair process. It takes into consideration the amount of technical skill, experience, and finally, time required to accomplish that task.

Prepaid Desktop Computer Repair - Available in blocks of  3 Units or more

Used for non-warranty diagnosis and/or repair of desktop  computers.  Labor charge is paid up front and does not include any parts needed to complete the repair.  
(value of Prepaid service is 2 Units for the price of 1.5)

Priority Service (1.5 units)

Priority service is available to those customers who are unable to wait the normal turn around time for repairs to their system.  This charge is added to the sale above and beyond the regular price of the service to be performed and places your system at the front of the line. Only one priority job per business day (Monday through Thursday) is allowed in order to be fair to all our customers.

Virus - Scan/Clean (1.5 units)

The detection and cleaning of viruses from a customer's mass storage device (hard drive). 

Spyware - Scan/Clean (2.5 units)

The detection and removal of spyware from a customer's mass storage device (hard drive)

Peripheral Card Installation ( 0.5 unit)

Covers the charge related to the installation of any peripheral card. Included is the loading of any driver required for testing.  

Memory/Processor Upgrade/Installation (0.5 unit)

Charge for all memory and processor upgrade installation services, (except Apple or constrained proprietary systems). Memory purchased from Precision Computers is installed same day (of purchase) at no extra charge.

Mass Storage Installation (1 unit) Installation of all mass storage hardware, Included are Hard Drives, , Tape Drives, Zip Drives etc- Does not include data transfer from old drive to new drive.  
(Installation of CD-ROM Drive purchased from Precision Computers is only 0.5 units) 
Application Installation (1 unit)

Installation of application software.  Installation completed at a default level and does not include customization. **  

Data Transfer ( 1. 5 units & up) based on amount of data and destination choice

For use during a Mass Storage installation when the transfer of data is required from one storage device to a new storage device. For example, data on 20GB HDD is transferred to a new 300GB HDD during an upgrade. (Excludes Operating system and applications.) ** 

Windows® / Vista® / XP® OS installation (2.25 units) (default configuration)

Installation of an operating system on a newly formatted hard drive. Or upgrade to a qualified existing windows platform. Does not include special circumstances or diagnosis and treatment of compatibility issues, which may arise during upgrade or install. **

Device Driver Installation (0.5 unit )

Device drivers for internal or external devices are available. If drivers are not provided by customer, we will provide them. (When possible)  

Multimedia Installation (1 unit)

Installation of a Multimedia Kit. Usually for installation of digital cameras, or CDROM / sound card combos etc. Parts not included.

Backup ( 1 to 6 units) depending on job size and circumstances

Creation of a full system backup using our custom archiving system.  This system will create an exact image of your system, and qualify for one emergency restore (usually within 24hr.). Subsequent restores of original image will be half the cost of backup.

Data Recovery

Data Recovery is available from Hard Drives and certain removable media
The fees are calculated by amount of data as follows:
(NOTE: Data recovery is not guaranteed, results are subject to conditions and state of original media..)

If data is recovered to CD-R (700mb per disc) it is (2 Units) for the first CD-R and (.5) Unit(s) for every CD-R Thereafter.

If data is recovered to DVD-R (4.7GB) it is (3 Units) for the first DVD-R and (1 Unit) for every DVD-R Thereafter. (Recovery to DVD-R will require that the customer has access to a PC DVD-Rom Drive capable or reading DVD data discs)

On Site Labor
Miscellaneous labor performed at a customer's site.
Does NOT include trip, or material charges.

Trip Charge is one half of normal unit rate for travel time, only charged for time from our location to site, one way

Residential- non networked

(2 units) 1st Hour (1 to 60 min.)  - (1.75) units each subsequent Hour

Commercial - Networked or non-Networked

(2.30) 1st Hour (2 units) each subsequent Hour

Delivery and Installation ( 1.5 units) (Per Hour)

This rate applies to delivery and installation of computer system purchased at PRECISION COMPUTERS LLC. Normal On-Site rates will apply for delivery and Setup of 3rd party computers

** Software cannot and is not guaranteed or warranted: any changes or modifications made by end user(s) that result in conflicts, errors, system hangs, or crashes are not covered by warranty. There will be a fee for any re-installation of software, including operating system, and or device drivers.
